About Brighton & Seacliff Yacht Club
## Introduction - Brighton & Seacliff Yacht Club (BSYC) traces its roots to 1919 and describes itself as more than a yacht club: an active sailing centre, training school and community function venue. Located on the Esplanade at Seacliff, the club is an off-the-beach operation with clubhouse facilities that include a bistro, two bars and a balcony overlooking the sailing area.
## Facilities & Character - BSYC is strictly an off-the-beach club: boats launch and retrieve across the sand with tractor assistance and the site provides undercover boat storage and wash-down areas. The clubhouse doubles as a local function centre while also serving the day-to-day needs of an active sailing membership.
## Sailing Focus - The club runs organised racing, junior development and regular weekend programmes across a broad set of dinghy and small-boat classes. Racing is supported by shore teams and a fleet of race-support powerboats and tractors for launching.
