About Derrinallum Yacht and Power Boat Club
Derrinallum Yacht and Power Boat Club is based at Deep Lake on Chatsworth Road, Derrinallum, in Victoria's Western District. It offers sailing and power boating, with social and competitive sailing, and has hosted Learn to Sail weekends open to all ages in partnership with Yachting Western Victoria.
In November 2025 the club celebrated 70 years with a classic regatta weekend of camping and lake sailing that welcomed all types of classic boats. The club is affiliated with Australian Sailing. Follow the club on Instagram (@derrinallum_yacht_club) or call 0409 942 591.
Derrinallum is a small farming town on the volcanic plains, with the 380-metre scoria cone of Mount Elephant rising right beside it. Deep Lake and nearby Lake Ettrick give the district a surprising amount of water for inland sailing, fishing and paddling, and the club's regattas often turn into weekend camping trips by the water. It's a relaxed, friendly way to enjoy country sailing.
