About Koombana Bay Sailing Club
## Club overview - Koombana Bay Sailing Club is a volunteer‑run mixed yacht and dinghy club located on Bunbury’s North Shore. The club fields keelboats, catamarans and off‑the‑beach dinghies and runs a full calendar of twilight and Saturday racing across multiple divisions.
## Facilities and access - KBSC operates from Anchorage Cove and maintains a clubhouse with alfresco viewing areas, a permanent jetty and a vehicle launching ramp, plus rigging and storage space onshore. The site provides sheltered bay water for training and direct access to open ocean beyond the breakwater for keelboat sailing.
## Community and membership - The club actively supports entry to sailing through SailPass (an introductory/short‑term sailing membership) and promotes social membership alongside competitive racing. KBSC has a history of rapid membership growth and was recognised in state awards for its junior and inclusion programs.
## Events and social life - A full programme of on‑water activity (Wednesday Twilight, Saturday divisions including Catamarans, JaM and Junior events) is complemented by shore‑based social activities and venue hire for functions, with a licensed bar and catering available.
